Saturday April 1st saw the fifth annual Bennett Springs Fair hosted by Beechboro Christian School, with almost two thousand visitors enjoying the carnival atmosphere on a beautiful day.

Over the past five years, the Bennett Springs Fair has become a significant event for the local community, bringing together over 1600 people to enjoy a range of stalls, educational activities, live music, fair food and rides.

Mr Michael Bolan, the new Head of Campus at Beechboro Christian School, commented that the school community is so pleased to be able to host the event.

“This event is a great way for families to have a wonderful day at a very affordable price, and experience the strong and engaged Beechboro Christian School community”, said Mr Bolan.

“The significant contribution from volunteers made the event run smoothly and provided activities for all to enjoy,” he said.

Little ones were spoilt for choice with animal petting, science experiments and face painting. Adults and older children enjoyed the monster balls, inflatable rock climbing and riding on Segways, generously provided by Segway West.

In addition to a range of unique stalls offering something for everyone, Compassion Australia, Swan Christian College Swan Connect and sister school Ellenbrook Christian College, all had a presence at the fair.

Event organiser Mrs Marisa Streeton, said, “We were so blessed by all the staff members, parents and students, past and current, who volunteered their time.”

“Even on the day itself, several ex Beechboro Christian School students asked me if there was anything they could do to help, and they jumped right in to help with face painting.

“This proactive approach and desire to contribute perfectly characterises our Beechboro and Ellenbrook students!”, Mrs Streeton said.
